Each type of lifter can handle coils of many different sizes thanks to particular shapes of the pole pieces able to follow their profile.

The electromagnets can also be made in a version with a double redundant coil. This grants that, if one of the two coils or its power cable should fail, the second coil will still be able to hold the load in complete safety.

The electro permanent magnets
For electro-permanent technology it’s essential to consider the air gap involved and the binding conditions of the coils (it is not recommended in the case of hot rolled coils, high air gaps and poorly strapped coils).
Electro permanent magnets combine the features of electromagnets and permanent magnets offering the following advantages:
+ Guaranteed safety: lack of mains voltage or damage to the power cable does not lead to any accidental release of the load. The electro permanent magnets do not require buffer batteries or mechanical safety forks.
+ Constant performance: the electro permanent magnets are free from heating due to the Joule effect.
+ Minimal maintenance required.
+ Reduced environmental impact. Low power consumption.
+ Optional: RDF Magnetic Flux Detection Device. It allows, through the direct measurement of the magnetic flux generated, to determine the force expressed by the magnet itself; comparing these data with the weight of the load to be handled identifies the actual safety ratio of the handling.
