Unlike drum separators, this technology is suitable for extracting elongated iron pieces that are embedded in very compact and humid material.
The plate, in fact, performs an extraction from above and allows, in this way, a coarse drying of the pieces and the release of the aggregate.
Electromagnetic separators- EP
In this technology, the magnetic field is generated by an internal electric winding; thus, the magnetic flux is generated by the translation of electrical power into magnetomotive force (Amperspire)

Permanent magnetic plate- SMP
These separators are composed of a low carbon soft iron circuit and a group of permanent magnets with high induction and coercive force that allow an excellent depth of field. The part in contact with the flow of material, called active face, is in non-magnetic and wear-resistant steel.
This separators can be equipped with two kinds of permanent magnets:
+ Ferrite: this magnet generates a deep fieldbut, with the same power, it is more bulky.
+ Rare Earths (Alloy of Neodymium, Iron and Boron): Ideal if you need a magnetic field that crosses a large section or attracts at a great distance.
